I finally have the complete set of baby shower goodies up on my Etsy shop! It seems that so many people I know are having babies these days so I felt inspired to make a baby shower kit of sorts. When I hosted a friends shower last year I had such a blast but it was quite the challange to come up with all the details. Hopefully this set will make planning a little easier for some of you.
This set, fondly named “Li’l Tweet”, is just the beggining of what I hope to offer in my shop but to celebrate I wanted to host a little give away! One lucky winner will recieve a Li’l Tweet Stitch Kit in one of four colors: green, pink, yellow or blue.
*To enter, just leave a comment below with your first name and last initial and tell us what you would do with your very own Li’l Tweet. You have until 11:59 PDT Thursday, April 2, to enter. The winner will be selected randomly on April 3rd and announced on Twig & Thistle, Monday, April 6th! Good luck!
NOTE: THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED
To see pics from the shower that these were originally designed for check out Baby Shower: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.

I’m not sure what it says about me but a lot of my posts have been food related lately, I guess today is no exception. When I saw these I literally clapped for joy! This identity package by Seamless Creative and Design Surplus is just too cute. If every store had branding this strong the world would be such a better place! Another great project after the break.

Check out this lovely illustrated wedding invitation and suite! I just love the hand drawn feel and the personalized feeling it invokes. A friend of mine sent me a link to Anna Melcon Bond’s Flickr page (thanks Joseph!) and I instantly fell in love with her work.

I did a little poking around and discovered that this invitation was from Anna’s own wedding. I found some charming shots from her celebration that were too great to pass up. How great is that cake?!

Besides a Flickr page, Anna also has a web site a new blog and looks like a online shop coming soon! Be sure to check them out for more sweet inspiration.

Besides the whole getting married thing, the invitations were my favorite part. As a designer I felt like I had something to prove by designing my own invitations so it turned out to be one of the most rewarding and intimidating aspects of the whole event. Needless to say, my husband and I love how they turned out and they were worth all the effort.

*Note: No longer our address so we won’t be there if you decide to stop by for a visit 😉
The Invitations, RSVP Card, Accommodations Card, Directions Card, Thank You Notes, and Envelopes were all letterpress printed on Crane’s 100% cotton Lettra Letterpress Paper by the very talented Bryce at Bjorn Press.

The Programs were off-set printed onto the same Lettra Letterpress paper by the lovely folks over at Quality Press using a metallic ink. I printed the Menus on a large format digital printer.
That’s it for our trip down memory lane! It was an amazing experience and I’m so glad I could share it with all of you. Have a lovely weekend everyone and Happy Valentine’s Day! xoxo

It’s been a while since I’ve visited one of my favorite letterpress design sites of all time, Elum. Boy was I happy that I popped over for a visit! I have always fancied her yellow and grey Aviary Desk Set so you can imagine my glee when I discovered she’d added two more sets! The Boudoir and Wood Grain are equally as beautiful. Each box contains folding note cards, flat note cards, stationary sheets, gift enclosures and envelopes! What a fabulous gift this would make!
