I came across these covered books on Pinterest last week and fell in love! Liz Tamanaha of Paislee Press created these beautifully simple covers and shared a tutorial on her blog. I love how any book can get an elegant makeover with just a few easy steps. See the complete tutorial and get free downloadable labels here.

What’s Old is New Again

The kid in me is thrilled to see the latest edition of clothbound classics from Penguin featuring some of my all time childhood favorites. Sold separately but really, who could resist the complete set? Covered in colorful fabrics and embossed with coordinating illustrations, they certainly add a little extra delight to wonderful classic stories. Available at Anthropologie.

Classically Beautiful

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

I fell in love with the first set when they were announced last year and now Penguin has released another set of cloth-bound classics! Elegant depictions of each story envelope these lovely tales and so beautifully done by London designer, Coralie Bickford-Smith. Be sure to check out this interview with the her regarding the new volumes. I loved reading her concept behind Jane Austen’s, Emma.

The new set includes Alice in Wonderland, Emma, The Odyssey, and Little Women, to name a few. A true collectors find and a book lovers delight!

Scrinium3

Scrinium2

I could probably devote a whole blog to porcelain but until I can find the time to do that you’ll just have to suffer through another post 🙂 My mother-in-law, Marilyn, sent me a link to these amazing book lights from In Every Tree!  The glow is completely wonderful and I love the shot of the shelves full of them! I’d never want to turn them off!
