Sponsor Thanks + Interview

Friday, May 28th, 2010

I’m signing off early this week for the long holiday weekend but before I do I wanted to thank all our sponsors and welcome our newest one, Bonbon Charms. Bonbon Charms specializes in custom handcrafted jewelry by Erica Clements of Eugene, Oregon. Her collection includes charms for necklaces, bracelets and custom pieces. Be sure sure to check out her shop for all the lovely goodies!

Also, last week I had the pleasure of being interviewed on the Fossil Life and Style Blog. Who knew Fossil had a blog?! I’d missed it somehow and was incredibly delighted and honored that they wanted to include me in their 3 Questions series.

I had a blast answering their questions and you can read my responses here. If you’ve ever wondered how Twig & Thistle got started you can find out how it all began here. I hope you’ll stop on over and see what other creative stuff they have posted. This tutorial, on how to cover pencils in paper for example, is brilliant! Have a great long weekend everyone and I’ll see you back here Tuesday!

Spot On!

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

I spotted these illustrations on ffffound last week and it struck me as so carefree and sweet that I had to post them. These images are completely computer generated from an original photograph by creating a mosaic using a modified digital program. Charis Tsevis’s work is phenomenal and should definitely be checked out. See more of his style and work on his site and blog.

“T” Towels

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

There are just some things you can never have too many of. For me, tea towels are one such item. So when saw this set by Studiopatró it felt like they were made just for me! The unexpected use of type is beyond brilliant, I love how the T’s create such a simple and beautiful pattern! Also, be sure to check out the rest of their collection. The selection is simply stunning and the shop is equally as gorgeous.

Mike & Juliaaawww

I adore this screen printed wedding invitation suite designed by groom Mike Dornseif! With more of a show-poster feel and the utterly adorable illustration, this non-traditional invite would be so much fun to receive in the mail. With only a few short months until the wedding, I wish both the bride & groom a very happy and whimsical wedding!

Michelle O Bag By Extra Fancy

Monday, May 24th, 2010

I’m loving this wonderful bag by Heidi & Gareth Chisholm of Extra Fancy. I featured Hedi’s work last year and she continues to impress! As with all her work; this bag is so fun a playful you can’t help but smile! The details are completely adorable and the depiction of Michelle Obama looks positively HAWT! Purchase your own bag here and make sure to check out more of Heidi’s work here.
