Just wanted to take a moment to thank our sponsor Darigold for sponsoring Twig & Thistle this month. Their cookbook, Fresh, Volume II is on sale now, it’s chock full of great recipes and at $5 it’s a total steal!

Canvas Coasters

I’m loving these canvas coasters by Mekala of The Tie That Binds. They come with four different love sayings on each coaster or you can get a custom design. These would make for a sweet detail for a wedding or anniversary. I love how the cream of the canvas works with the red and black illustrations, it all looks so rich and luxurious!

Happy Halloween everyone and have a fun weekend! xoxo

I am so impressed with what Katie of What Katie Does made for the Travelling Moleskine Project. Something about the embroidery and the paper together makes such a breathtaking combination and the colors she used are equally beautiful. I’m so inspired now thanks to her! I could see some pretty holiday cards in this style or an extra sweet Thank You.

You can see more picks from Katie’s project on Flickr and be sure to browse her blog for other amazing projects.

Ok, I know it’s not even Halloween yet but I can’t deny that I am looking forward to the holidays. This handcrafted stocking was sent to me by a friend and college from work. His ever so talented wife Karen, of Maggie Makes, created this beautiful stocking and I just couldn’t wait to share! A set of these would make a lovely gift to a friend or even to yourself. It’s projects like these that truly make the holidays memorable and fun. Be sure to check out Karen’s blog for the complete tutorial and other fantastic projects.

Karen also entered her tutorial in the Scrap buster Tutorial contest on Sew, Mama, Sew! Swing on over to show your support and see all the other amazing entries.

Myself as a Parrot Piñata. This bad boy even had a trap door that opened to let candy fall out and won me best costume!

My friend Katie and I as Mustard and Ketchup.

I can’t believe that Halloween is this weekend already! I adore the holiday and all the fun associated with it, but I have to admit, I am completely behind on all my plans for this season. Dressing up is by far my favorite part and my husband and I have managed to put together some fun costumes over the years so I’ve pulled out these images to try to inspire me. I know there are only a few days left but these were all pulled together with only hours to spare so there is still hope. If anyone has some fun ideas I’d love for you to share.
