1st place for Prize!

January 28th, 2009

I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Prize, a gift and home furnishing store in Ashland Oregon, but I might have to schedule a trip just to stop by! These lovely pictures make me swoon every time I look at them. Oh how I wish my whole house looked like this place!

Lot’s more great pics after the break!

I’m not sure where you’re located, you must visit Ashland in the summertime! It is the sweetiest, artsy little town and I absolutely love visiting. Tons of adorable shops, several terrific restaurants, beautiful scenery, and one magnificient historic hotel whose posh decor makes me weak in the knees… plus it’s super-affordable.

I love old trophies! I wish I had more but they are pricey, even on eBay.

thank you ever so much for alerting me to the presence of this lovely shop! i’m an art gallery director in eugene, just three hours to the north, and am already putting a mini road trip together to visit prize. i’ve been looking for funky decor to give our very large, very white and austere gallery a more inviting atmosphere. i struggle daily with the mythology of the white walled gallery space as intimidating or snobby, so I’m always looking for ways to create a comfortable environment that still gives proper authority and importance to the art itself. if i score anything spectacular i’ll give you a shout!

This shop is so lovely and gorgeous. It seems like a place that I’d want to sit and have a little snack and read a book in. =)

I’ve been loving Prize since it was a tiny shop off of Polk St. in SF. There must be something from them in every room of my house! My favorite probably being an old London bus sign. And everyone who works there is always very sweet and attentive.

I also love them because they were one of the first shops to carry my line of stationery and are still one of my best sellers! Except, it’s almost impossible not to spend all the profits making trades!!!

Definitely stop by if you ever have the opportunity…
